MARY LANKFORD BRADLEY

Savannah- Mary L. Bradley died August 22, 2006 at Hospice Savannah after a short illness. Mrs. Bradley was born in Lyons, Georgia on July 27, 1920, the daughter of the late Agnes McCauley Lankford and Judge George W. Lankford. She lived in Savannah most of her life and was a member of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bradley retired from Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education after teaching at Hesse Elementary School for over 20 years. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Education Sorority, Lachlan McIntosh Chapter DAR, Georgia Retired Educators Association, Chatham Retired Educators Association and the Fellowship Sunday School class at Wesley Monumental.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William D Bradley, Jr.

Mrs. Bradley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Donna Bradley of Statesboro, Georgia, her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Joe Mathews of Savannah, grandchildren, Brad Bradley and his wife, Kristin of Statesboro, Brad Mathews of Tampa, Florida, McCaul Mathews of Savannah, Donnie Weeks of Atlanta and Lynn Davidson and her husband, Mark of Mobile, Alabama, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 23, 2006 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church conducted by Dr. Jason Shirah and The Reverend Lowery Brantley.

Burial will be at Brewton Cemetery, Hagan, Georgia at 2 p.m.
